Alexander Zagorinskij, violoncell, Moscow
       Soloist of Moscow State Philharmonic Society (MSPS);
       Idealer of the violoncello group in the MSPS Academic Symphony orchestra;
       Iaureate of various competitions.

         Born in Moscow, in 1962. Studied     in Central Music-School for gifted children, attached to Moscow
Conservatory(1970-1981). Finished    the school with   honours    and    entered    Moscow      Conservatory
(professor Shachjvskaya's class).
         In 1985 Alexander Zagorinskij     became the second prize laureate as well as the prize-winner for   the
best perfomance of soviet composers (B. Chaikovskij) at All-Union Music Competition.
         In 1986 Alexander graduated Moscow Conservatory with honours and worked as N. Shachovskaya's
assistant up to 1988.
          Since 1987 has played in the MSPS Academic Symphony orchestra.
          In 1988 Alexander won the third prize for the piano duet at the VII-th Chamber music competition in Trapany (Italy).
          In 1990 he become Ieureate of IX International Chaikovskij Competition.
          Since 1991 Alexander Zagorinskij is a soloist of MSPS and leader of the violoncello group in its symphony orchestra.
         "ABC Madrid"   gave    the   following   commentary   on    his  perfomance: "The perfomance of the soloist Alexander Zagorinskij was,
undoubtedly, a high-rate one. He managed to communicate to us with       all    the    determination     and   logic,   possible only in case of deep
penetration   into   the   work of the composer. The soloist's extraordinary instrumental technique is clearly proved by the amazing cadence."
